Renaldo Domino, a soul music artist from the south side of Chicago, discusses his musical career. He began performing in local talent shows in high school and then formed a band called The Magnificence. Domino’s first record, “I’m Hip To Your Game,” was released in the late 1960s on a small local label. He then signed with Mercury Records and released several singles, including the local hit “I’m Getting Nearer To Your Love.” After leaving Mercury, Domino recorded for the Twinight label, releasing his biggest hit “Not Too Cool To Cry” in 1971.
